Introduction : Jane Powell was an American singer, dancer, and actress who rose to fame in the mid-1940s in various Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer music roles.
Early life : She was born on April 1, 1929, in Portland, Oregon. She started learning dance when she was just 2 years old. She began singing live on the local Portland radio station, Coin. At the time, as the Oregon Winning Girl, Paul had two weekly radio shows. She attended Beaumont Grade School in Portland.
Career : Made six films in the first few years at MGM. She starred in theatrical productions. Paul's second film was Daily Dangerous. She starred in Two Weeks Weave Love Ricardo Montalbon in 1950. In 1954, Powell starred opposite Howard Kill for Seven Brothers, which gave him the opportunity to play a more mature character than in previous films. Her other films include: Rich, Young and Pretty, Little Town Girl, Three Sellers and a Girl, Athena, Deep in my heart, hit deck etc.
Conclusion : Powell has lived in Wilton, Connecticut, Manhattan since his marriage to Dick Moore. Paul's fifth marriage to former child star Dickie Moore was his longest. Powell and Moore were married from 1988 until his death in 2015. She reunited with Pink Martini at the Hollywood Bowl on September 10, 2010. Powell was a guest host on Robert Osborne's July 17–23, 2011 Turner Classic movie. She was married five times in her life. She sang the national anthem at the Republican National Conference in 1956. Her autobiography, The Girl Next Door, was published in 1988.
