Benjamin Franklin

Bio:

Introduction : Benjamin Franklin, a well-known American historian, was simultaneously a political writer, publisher, scientist, and diplomat. In addition to these, he has done various public works such as establishing libraries, hospitals, and colleges. He even joined the United States as the drafter of the Constitution.

Early life : This famous man was born on January 17, 1707 in Boston, United States. His father was a soap and candle maker. His father was married twice and his mother Josiah was his second wife. Franklin did not do much worship until he was 10 years old, but he was a very interested traveler and for that he wrote an article at the age of 16. At age 17, Franklin fled his apprenticeship to Philadelphia, where he got a job as a printer.

Printer and Publisher : He returned to Philadelphia in ,1726 and two years later opened a printing shop. In his shop he used to make materials for government magazines and various books. He became the owner and publisher of the Pennsylvania Gazette in 1729 and gained much popularity. His wife Reed was a lawyer. From 1763 to 1776 he was the colonial governor of New Jersey.

Scientific discovery :In 1748 he closed his printing business and engaged in public service. During this leisure time he made many discoveries in science. In 1740 he conducted various experiments and discovered electric rods that would save large buildings from fire. He also made electric batteries and chargers. In addition to electricity, Franklin studied ocean currents, weather, the common cold, and the causes of freezing. He built the Franklin stove, which consumes less fuel than other stoves, and made bifocal glasses. He also composed songs. In 1754 he annexed the colonies under the National Congress, although his plan failed. In 1858, Franklin traveled to London as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Assembly, where he was elected in 1751. During the Franklin Revolution, he returned to Philadelphia to serve as the second continental congressional representative on the American Governing Body. In 1776, a five-member committee was formed to declare the independence of the United States. It was during this time that the French sent troops to help America and America won. As Minister of France in 1968, Franklin assisted in the drafting and negotiation of the 1783 Treaty of Paris, which ended in Revolution War.

Conclusion : In 1785 he left France and moved to Philadelphia. He became the first president of the United States in 1789. He died on April 17, 1790, at the age of 84. With the money he left behind, a science museum and a school of commerce were established. He was a man of character whose name is shining brightly in the pages of history. There are schools, colleges and businesses in his name all over America.
